Three Fantasy “Studs” for the Colts in Week 7

Indianapolis, IN - The Indianapolis Colts are going into one of the most anticipated games in the teams entire history. Sunday night, Indianapolis will welcome back former franchise quarterback Peyton Manning to town for the first time as the opposing quarterback. It’s going to be an atmosphere that will be one of the most electric games that Colts fans have ever seen. Fantasy football owners should keep a close eye on three Colts in particular.

1. Andrew Luck, Quarterback

This is a game that you can expect to see a lot of passing in. The Broncos are allowing 337.7 passing yards per game, which is the worst number in the entire NFL. All that being said, the Colts are undoubtedly going to go into this game with a pass-heavy offensive gameplan. Luck hasn’t put up great numbers to this point on the season, but if Tony Romo can throw for 500+ yards, then you can expect Luck to come away with a solid game as well.

2. T.Y. Hilton, Wide Receiver

Hilton has had two “breakout” games this year, but the Colts are still searching for consistency from him. Due to the Broncos allowing big plays in the passing game, Hilton could very well be in store for yet another huge day. He’s got deep-threat ability with his speed, but he can also go across the middle and make defenders miss in the open field. While there have been a couple games that he didn’t produce at all, Sunday probably will not be one of them. If you have Hilton on your fantasy roster, make sure you start him.

3. Reggie Wayne, Wide Receiver

There are many reasons to start Reggie Wayne on Sunday for fantasy owners. One, he’s Andrew Luck’s obvious favorite target. Two, he’s consistently put up great numbers through his entire career. Three, he’s a player that loves to come through in clutch games, and this is exactly that. There’s no doubt that Wayne should be in each and every starting lineup this Sunday against a defense that has been unable to stop receivers of his level. Expect another very good game from Reggie Wayne.

Coby Fleener gets an honorable mention here, but he just hasn’t shown enough consistency to this point in the season. He’s a very talented player, there’s no doubt about that, but he has to finish catches and figure things out. The Colts defense is not a good start either going up against one of the best offenses that the NFL has seen in recent history. Manning will carve the Colts secondary up all night long.
