Indianapolis, IN - The Colts’ defense struggled last week against Phillip Rivers and the Chargers offense, which didn’t allow Andrew Luck to have the football as much as Indianapolis would like. One of the main areas of concern heading into the Denver Broncos game on Sunday night is their defensive secondary. They may very well get a huge lift by the return of safety LaRon Landry.
Landry has missed the last four games due to an ankle injury, but resumed practice on Wednesday. While he hasn’t been ruled in for Sunday, there are still some things that the Colts will need to see before they allow him to play on Sunday night. They need to make sure that he can move quickly and hit as hard as he always has.
Denver’s offense has been one of the best, most dynamic offenses that the NFL has seen in years. Peyton Manning is on track to break records and have a career best season. If the Colts want to come away Sunday night with a win, they will need their secondary to play at the highest level that they are capable of.
Sunday Night Football will be one of the best games that will be played all season, and having LaRon Landry back makes it that much more intriguing. The Colts will certainly welcome Landry back with open arms if he is indeed able to play.
