It seems that the NFL Draft was just a simple stepping stone for the Indianapolis Colts.

Since the draft finished up last weekend, the Colts have brought in several new undrafted players. It takes a lot of pieces to build a monster, and the Colts have found bodies from all over the place.

On Thursday, the Colts signed another new player, bringing in cornerback Nigel Malone. One of the spots on the roster that was often considered to be overlooked in the draft, the cornerback spot seems a bit more sturdy with this signing.

Malone (5ft 10in, 180lbs) played two years at Kansas State, and totaled 109 tackles. In 26 games with the Wildcats, Malone also added 12 interceptions, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.

The Colts are obviously looking to set competition for starting positions all over the roster. The numerous signing of free agents, drafted players, and undrafted players should prove beneficial for this team in the long run.
