Looking Over the 2013 NFL Schedule for the Indianapolis, Part Two

Anything can and will happen for the teams in the NFL, prior to the kickoff of the 2013 season. looking deeper into the 2013 NFL schedule for the Indianapolis Colts, it initially seems that Indianapolis may be able to start this new season on a high note.

After four games, the Colts could be 3-1. Listed below, is an early prediction of the next few games for the Indianapolis Colts in 2013, following a week four road game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

In week five, the Colts will be hosting one of the more interesting inter-divisional matchups of the season. Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson will lead their respective teams against one another for the first time. Both the Seattle Seahawks and the Colts shocked the NFL last year, and this battle of second-year quarterbacks will prove to be a much-ballyhooed microcosm of both players’ young career. Seattle has to travel across the country for an early game, which may prove costly against the Colts.

Last season, the Colts only had one game in prime time. Week six of the 2013 season will showcase Indianapolis in the first of four nationally-televised games. The Colts will travel to face the San Diego Chargers, a longtime rival, who also seems to be in rebuilding mode. These teams are not the Colts and Chargers who faced off in the NFL Playoffs of the past, but the Monday Night Football crowd in California will be ready to roll. Indianapolis has a long trip, to face a tough team, under the bright lights.

Week seven brings about one of the most-anticipated games in the history of the NFL. On Sunday Night Football, Peyton Manning returns to Indianapolis. For the first time ever, Manning will step on the field at Lucas Oil Stadium as a member of the Denver Broncos. The young buck Andrew Luck will try to defend his home field against the man who helped build it. Peyton Manning has thrown numerous touchdowns in that building, and it’s hard to imagine him not throwing several more on this night. The Colts might run into a buzzsaw.

The Colts might get some of their toughest games out of the way in the first half of the season, and they could possibly come out looking pretty well. Indianapolis may go into a week eight bye with a record of 4-3, which isn’t bad, considering games against the Broncos, Seahawks, and San Fransisco 49ers come up early.
