The Indianapolis Colts will face a tall task, both mentally and physically, when they take the field against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. Not only will the Colts be facing one of the best teams in the NFL, they will be doing it without their head coach. Coach Chuck Pagano will be sidelined for most of the season, after recently being diagnosed with a treatable form of leukemia. The Colts will do their best to try and win one for Chuck, but it will take more than motivation to best Green Bay.
The Packers come into Lucas Oil Stadium ready to stomp on a Colts team that has looked less-than stellar so far this season. The Colts secondary is beat-up and thin, which could prove poisonous against one of the most high-powered offenses in the league. The NFL MVP and his deadly stable of receivers could possibly pick apart a depleted Colts defense early and often.
Green Bay linebacker Clay Matthews already has seven sacks in four games, which is more than he had all of last season. A Rookie quarterback and a suspect offensive line could easily buckle underneath the barrage from Green Bay. Andrew Luck might put up some good fantasy numbers in garbage time, but it may be too little and too late. Despite the oppositions form interim head coach Bruce Arians, the Cheese Heads could very well swamp over and clamp down upon this young Colts team at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday.
Prediction – Packers 33, Colts 19
