Indianapolis Colts 2012 Mock Draft: Round 4

The Colts’ defense is set to change drastically.   Maybe this guy will help …

Round 4, Pick 2 : Alameda Ta’amu, NT, Washington

If the Colts are serious about transitioning to a 3-4 defensive scheme, they need a bona fide nose tackle to help them stuff the line.   Indy won’t be able to grab Memphis’s Dontari Poe outside of the first round, but Ta’amu should fit the bill here at 6’3″ and 348 pounds.

Interesting, I’m not the biggest Ta’amu fan, mostly because I am the Ducks writer at autzenzoo.com. He’s just going to end up being a depth guy, but it never hurts to take a flier on a guy who could possibly help the Colts move into the 3-4. Would rather take a corner in that spot, but NT wouldn’t be a bad choice either.
