The draft is just over a month away now, and the Colts’ cupboard is completely barren.  How will they restock?  Let’s take a look at the Colts draft slots and whom they will likely select with each one, starting with …

 

Round 1, Pick 1 : Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford

This draft, the Colts’ success over the next decade or so, and the careers of general manager Ryan Grigson and coach Chuck Pagano all hinge on the fortunes of Mr. Luck.  If you think that I’m being overly dramatic with that statement, how different do you think the franchise would look right now had the St. Louis Rams edged out the Colts for the Number 1 pick?  Or if Luck had returned to Stanford for his senior season?  There is a better than even shot that some guy named Manning would still be manning the controls of this team.
