On the day after Kerry Collins’ career effectively came to an end, the Colts got back to preparations for this week’s tilt with the Tennessee Titans. Maybe Collins will show up for the game in his hometown … but which side would he root for? Wednesday’s notes:
- Bill Polian told Peter King that Peyton Manning could possibly, maybe, perhaps still make it back this year. So, he’s saying there’s a chance!
- Not practicing Wednesday were LB Pat Angerer (knee), LB Kavell Conner (knee), OL Ryan Diem (ankle), OT Anthony Castonzo (ankle), RB Joseph Addai (hamstring), TE Brody Eldridge (knee), P Pat McAfee (hamstring), DT Drake Nevis (back), G Mike Pollak (hamstring), and DE Dwight Freeney (Practice!? We talking about practice?).
- Limited in practice wee LB A.J. Edds (concussion, WR Anthony Gonzalez (groin), and TE Jacob Tamme (concussion).
- Because of the injuries to Pollak and fellow OG Joe Reitz, backups Seth Olsen and Mike Tepper will probably start against the Titans.
