Colts Notes for September 30

The Colts ended September with a Painter in the driver’s seat and a superstar Manning a growing injured reserve list.   Bleak and Blue adequately describes the mood surrounding this team as the leaves start to turn.   Here are the notes from Friday:

  • It looks like Terrence Johnson will start at left cornerback over Jacob Lacey.
  • The Colts continued to waffle on whether QB Kerry Collins would play against Tampa on Monday.  I’m getting my Painter jersey warmed up.
  • Collins missed practice on Friday, thanks to his maybe concussion.
  • Also sitting out practice were DT Fili Moala (ankle), G Ryan Diem (ankle), G Joe Reits (ankle), LB Ernie Sims (knee), and TE Brody Eldridge (knee).    It’s not a good time to be part of Colt’s leg.
  • Putting in full practices Friday were DE Dwight Freeney (abs) and  S Antoine Bethea (heel).
