Colts Re-Sign Adam Vinatieri

Adam Vinatieri kicked the tires on free agency, but he re-signed with the Colts.

ESPN’s AFC South blogger Paul Kuharsky is reporting that the Colts have agreed to terms on a new three-year contract with free agent kicker Adam Vinatieri.  He had a nice rebound season in 2010 after an injury-plagued 2009, and probably comes at a discounted price compared to his $2-million dollar salary from last season.   Vinatieri will turn 39 in December, but given the relative durability of kickers in general, it’s not inconceivable that he could actually finish out this contract with the Colts.  If so, he will have logged eight seasons with Indy after ten stellar campaigns with *ugh* New England.
