Castonzo Not Likely to Start for Colts

The rumors and rumblings about the Colts’ 2011 season have started even before the lockout is officially lifted, and the first one to emerge makes this a bit of a sullen Sunday for Indy fans.  According to Dan Pompei of National Football Post, the lockout has put a real hurt on the development of 2011 first-round pick, tackle Anthony Castonzo.   So much so, in fact, that the Colts are “dubious” about his ability to start at left tackle out of the gate, though they think he may still be the top dog at some point this season.

Castonzo is the latest hope for Indianapolis to plug the dam on Peyton Manning’s blind side, and this news probably means that Charlie Johnson will be back.   The improvements to the running game that we hoped to see will have to wait awhile, and it is now more important than ever that Joseph Addai is brought back. He may not be the most explosive runner this town has ever seen, but his pass blocking is invaluable and will be crucial to keeping Manning in one piece.

Maybe somewhere, Tarik Glenn is sitting back and watching all of this unfold.   How about one more go-round, Tarik?  If Tiki can do it, so can you!
