So I was driving around this morning, going to the bank and running some errands. It was exactly 9:58am. I flipped it to AM radio to see what was on 1070 the fan.
Wouldn’t you know at exactly 10am Colts pregame action started. Lucky me! It’s a preseason game, and it doesn’t start for another three hours! So naturally, I zoned in and enjoyed the commentary for a while.
Then I went to check the mail, which I didn’t do yesterday, and Bam! I had received both my Sporting News and ESPN the magazine – both which were NFL Preview [...]

Colts at Lions: A Quick Preview
This weekend the Indianapolis Colts head to Detroit to take on the Lions in a little preseason action. Ulitmately, as usual with the preseaon, this games means very little and carries about as much significance as the time you chose to go with Orange Slice instead of your usual Mountain Dew.
Ok, ok perhaps it carrries more weight than that … but not much for the Indianapolis Colts. Sure there are still things to look for and a few position battles taking place, but for the most part I have to imagine that head coach and Jim Caldwell and his staff [...]

In a surprise move, the Indianapolis Colts released middle linebacker Adam Seward over the weekend.
He was not unemployed for long.
On Monday he was signed by a division rival, the Jacksonville Jaguars. The transaction continues the curious trend of former Colts players staying in the AFC South. The news has mostly flew under the radar, since Seward is primarily a back-up player. After four seasons with the Carolina Panthers, the Colts signed Seward in March to be a back-up to starter Gary Brackett. The release comes as a surprise (to me at least) because I liked the addition of Seward to the Colts Defense. He [...]
Last week the Colts came out and did something they rarely do; they won a preseason game. Not that the victory means anything, the Colts routinely go 0-4 in the preseason, but it did provide a brief glimpse of the 2009 Indianapolis Colts and what they are capable of.Â
Despite playing against many of the Eagles back ups and reserves, the Colts showed some really good things during the game. Unfortunately there were also some bad things as well. Today we’ll look at four positives and four … well … not so positives.
The Positives:
1) The Offense – Last Thursday Peyton Manning came out fired up, ready [...]
As I scurry about my apartment on this Friday morning, doing the dishes and folding laundry, I couldn’t be happier. There are reasons to be upset – like how I just lost all my shows that I had recorded on DVR – but I can not complain, because last night  the Indianapolis Colts actually won a preseason game! And they looked GOOD doing it.
The main story line of the Colts 23-15 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles has to be quarterback Peyton Manning. After last weeks dismal perfomance against the Vikings (a typical preseason loss) Manning complained about getting more playing time and more reps with [...]
After yesterday’s visit training camp, I needed something to drink. It was hot out, I was sweating and I needed a drink. Also because I have the bladder the size of a 4 year old, I really had to use the restroom. So before getting on the interstate and heading home, I stopped at a gas station.Â
Wouldn’t you know that as I was walking towards the door, so was an offensive lineman from the Colts!
It was their last day of camp and I’m sure they were all in a hurry to get home. As I neared the door this Colts player [...]

Colts Training Camp Notes
Today marked the last day of training camp for the Indianapolis Colts, and luckily for me, I had the chance to go and check it out. I really wasn’t able to go at all prior to today, so I was determined to make the drive and see at least one Colts practice. I’m glad I did.
Overall, the practice was not too long and I’m sure the coaches were not expecting to see much they didn’t already know. I got there a few minutes late, but still the practive only lasted about 45 minutes to maybe an hour. ( I left [...]
Off to Training Camp
Well I hope you liked the post about Brett Favre! I am sick of that dude!
Anyways, I am off to training camp! And purely with a journalistic mindset first, so I promise I won’t tackle anyone just to get the back-up kicker’s autograph! I’ll update this evening hopefully with some good pictures and a good story or two!
We all heard the breaking  news today: Brett Favre is returning to football.  We all knew it was coming, but now it’s official. I’m sure some people were elated and some even rejoiced,  but  if you’re like me your reaction was something like this: I AM SICK AND TIRED OF HEARING ABOUT (insert favorite rant of curse words here) BRETT FAVRE !!!!  I know I can’t be the only one out there right? So without further ado, here it is:
10 Things I’d Absolutely Rather Do Than Hear Another Single Stinking Thing About New Vikings Quarterback Brett Favre:
10) Complete an Army Obstacle Course. I did this a couple times in Basic Training, and yeah they are kind [...]
