This is something that I don’t like. I follow this team from OTAs to preseason, and then they throw me off by signing these guys who were waived from the final roster cuts. However, Polian did get two players today.
The Colts have taken former Lions linebacker Buster Davis (not the wide receiver for the Chargers) and former Packers defensive tackle Daniel Muir.
Buster Davis is a name I recognize. He confused me greatly during the 2007 draft process. I mean, what are the odds for two players to be named Buster Davis? Buster? That was frustrating when I start to think all the draft [...]

My Reaction: I am very mad that they cut Colin Ferrell and Brannon Condren. That makes no sense to me at all. When the Colts say they don’t take the preseason seriously, they [...]
I decided to simulate a Madden season to see what the Colts would turn out to be. This isn’t a true prediction since Peyton could tear his ACL in Week 1 in this game and not have it happen in real life, but it is interesting to see what a computer simulation thinks the Colts will do.
Since the roster is out of date, I updated it myself. Gijon Robinson, Courtney Roby, Dan Federkeil, Eric Foster, Curtis Johnson, Kyle Shotwell, Jordan Senn, and Keiwan Ratliff were added. Kenton Keith, TJ Rushing, Corey Hilliard, Josh Thomas, Jeff Charleston, Victor Worsley, Ramon Guzman, [...]
The preseason is over. Finally. 5 games is way too much. It is such a bitter sweet season. I’m watching the Colts, but I’m not watching the Colts play a real game with their best players, so I’m not really watching the Colts I know. It is fun to speculate on who will make the roster, but I am ready for the season to start. September 7th. I can’t wait. It is hard to sum up such a weird five game series, but here is my best shot. Let’s take a look at the top 5 players of the preseason:
5. Jamey [...]
The preseason is coming to an end this week. In 7 days, the NFL will kickoff, and on Sunday, September 7th, we will see the official opening of Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday Night Football. So what is the goal for this game? DON’T GET HURT! The Colts are continuing tradition of dropping like flies, and we don’t need anymore injuries. This will be the final game for some players, and some bubble players like Colin Ferrell, Kyle Shotwell, and Jordan Senn will need to look good to make the roster.
Cincinnati Bengals: 1-2
Leading Passer: Carson Palmer, 188 yards
Leading Rusher: Chris [...]
The NFL may not start for a week, but college football is starting tomorrow. I know I will be watching the Ball State Cardinals take on Northeast or whatever weak team they are playing. However, it would be smart for you Colts fans to look out for these prospects. It is sort of in order by want, but it is also partially random at the end. These players are being projected from top 10 picks to undrafted.
1. Jeff Owens/DT/Georgia: Owens is my favorite prospect for 2009. He is built for the Tampa 2, and he is projected to go in [...]
Roster Cuts & Injuries Mean…
A new roster prediction! Yeah!
In case you haven’t heard, the Colts had to dump 5 players by today. The sad part is that two of them weren’t cut but placed on the Injured Reserve.
TJ Rushing and Zac Herold both were placed on the IR today. Rushing hurt his right knee in the Buffalo game, and Zac Herold’s injury cause did not come up on a Google search. Herold was not going to make the roster, so that’s not a big problem. However, Rushing was really improving as a returner. The other players in contention for returning are Pierre Garcon, Courtney [...]
Colts v. Bills Review
Wow. This was a terrible game. Just terrible. I couldn’t even pay attention for most of it. Seeing the roof open was cool though.
I can’t even do a best player rundown. This game was that bad. The only notables were Devin Aromashodu with his one catch that went 94 yards for a score and Eric Foster, who had 5 tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble.
Quinn Gray was terrible. I still think that he can play in this league, but he won’t make this team.
Joseph Addai and Dominic Rhodes both played okay, but Addai’s fumble was one of the dumbest [...]
Colts v. Bills Preview
Tonight, Lucas Oil Stadium will host its first NFL game. Sure, it’s preseason, but it’s still a milestone. Remember the first four years of the decade? We didn’t know whether the Colts were going to be in Indianapolis for much longer. It seemed imminent that they would move to Los Angeles. In late 2004, they announced that we were getting a new stadium, and here it is. What was once a dream is now a reality. We have the best stadium in the NFL. We aren’t watching the Colts play in a bubble anymore. Lucas Oil Stadium is finished.
Buffalo Bills: [...]
Lucas Oil Stadium Pictures
Today I was lucky enough to get an all-access pass to the high school football games at Lucas Oil Stadium. I was only there for the last two games, so I didn’t have enough time to see everything. I will probably do a full-blown review tomorrow (spoiler: there will be a lot of 10 out of 10’s). In the mean time, here are some pictures I took.
Press box
Roger Goodell does not want me visiting the instant replay guys.
He also doesn’t want me in the locker rooms. This guy clearly hates fun.
