Antoine Bethea was a second alternate for the Safety spot to go to the Pro Bowl, which typically means he has no chance at actually going, but since Bob Sanders is already being replaced by John Lynch due to an injury the recent release that Troy Polomalu will be also sitting out due to an injury has pushed Bethea up the ranks and into Hawaii.Â
This is great news for our Indy defense. These guys are young, fast, tough, and now experienced. The season may be over this year for the colts, but we will be the team to beat in [...]

Len Pasquerelli is confindent in his opinion that the NFL is luckier and priveleged to have Tony Dungy in the NFL for another year.
It’s official, Tony’s baaaaack!
Coach Ranker at ESPN…Where does Tony rank among fans?
This armchair jockstrap is convinced that the Giants don’t stand a chance.
Sometimes more important, what’s happening at the bottom of the barrel?
The Cowboys might be the smartest team in the NFL going into ‘08…but what a price!
I’m not buying it, but I’ll post this link about Brady’s “injured” leg.
Strahan and Toomer warn young bucks about Super Bowl hype this coming [...]

That’s that! We can call Tony Dungy Coach for another year!
Dungy, last night in a special press conference on local news channels, reported that there was entirely too much press coverage and concern surrounding his plans for the future. To paraphrase: “I’m flattered that there is a special press conference to cover the fact that nothing has changed.” Humble man, you gotta love him!
Both Bill Polian and Jim Irsay were there to report the same. However, they were a little more vocal about Assistant Head Coach Jim Caldwell. Instead of the title Assistant Head Coach, Caldwell will now be called an Associate Head Coach. [...]

We need to smile today…Okay, so the season is done. It is what it is, but who doesn’t like a good posting on Bob Sanders, huh? These were sent to me and a group of friends on myspace, so I have to post these! Bob Sanders…more facts:
1. 70% of the Earth is covered by water…the rest is covered by Bob Sanders.
2. Bob Sanders can tackle himself…FROM BEHIND.
3. Indy’s Defense is called the Cover 2 because the team is only responsible for covering two people…Bob Sanders covers the rest.
4. Bob Sanders is not only a noun but also a verb.
5. Years [...]

I have been going over yesterdays game in my head since Reggie Wayne took that monster hit on the second to last play of the game, and as much as I want to I am not going to look for excuses on why they lost, or how big of a classless jerk Philip Rivers is, but I do have some questions.
1. How hard is it to realize that, even though they are your number ones on the depth chart, the other guys are playing better together?
2. How can you be a number one on the depth chart and not play well when [...]

It’s simple, actually, why the Chargers beat the Colts this afternoon. They simply outplayed us. Yes, you could say that the Marlin Jackson-hands-to-the-face penalty was crucial as it would have ended a significant drive in the Q3. Or, Marvin Harrison’s fumble in the first half. You could say that Peyton Manning could have thrown those two INT-deflections better, but the fact is the ball hit the hands…There’s no excuse why they weren’t caught because the ball hit the receivers’ hands. So many reasons and excuses Colts fans could use for the loss today, but, come on, the Chargers obviously wanted [...]

The thing that sucks is that the Jags played at 99% last night, but the Pats played at a full-throttled 100%. The Patriots scored 4 TDs and 1 FG, while the Jags – and here’s the part that sucked last night’s chances at an upset down the drain – scored 2 TDs and 2 FGs. Both QBs were pretty spectacular, but the difference in their successes came in Brady’s ability to push down the field vertically, instead of of Garrard’s horizontal tendencies to throw it shallow to either Jones-Drew or Taylor, though he had a couple impressive runs.
Oh well, it’s nothing [...]

The Next Round starts today and here’s the games:
Saturday, 12-Jan
Seattle Seahawks at Green Bay Packers…430pm EST
Jacksonville Jaguars at New England Patriots…800pm EST
Sunday, 13-Jan
San Diego Chargers at Indianapolis Colts…100pm EST
New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys…430pm EST

The four best QBs in the league play today and tomorrow: Brett Favre, Tony Romo, Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. It should be interesting to see which QBs fall because four of the better defenses play against them this weekend: Seahawks, Giants, Chargers and Jaguars.
We’re in for a great weekend of football, but we have to root for those Jaguars more than any other team (except for [...]

I’m tired of this “Brady is the greatest!” banter. Finally, let the stats tell the truth!
Of course I am absolutely bias toward Manning, but let’s get real here! It’s taken Brady over 70 more passes than Manning to hit 50 TDs and snapping the last ball of every single game in 2007 to do it when Manning sat out more than half of the fourth quarters he played in 2004. That’s called not being good enough to consistently show up in quarters 1-3 and having to pad the stats in the Q4. Manning also had a passer rating of 121.1 to [...]

Congrats to the Jags and the Bolts on getting to the 2nd Round of the playoffs. Yeah, I’m a good sport, but this is exactly how I called the playoffs…so far. Here’s what’s coming up this weekend!
Jacksonville Jaguars at New England Patriots
San Diego Chargers at Indianapolis Colts
I’m stoked how this played out! I’m confident that the Colts can beat the Chargers as we almost won had Vinatieri not missed that field goal. Need I remind you that we played the Pats the week before and that was during our “darkest days” of the season? The Colts were just starting to [...]
